During the Initial Consultation we will meet you and your child for up to 60 minutes.  Our aim in this session is to listen and hear your concerns, gather a thorough case history and observe and play with your child.  Informal and/or formal assessments might be completed depending on the child.  By the end of this session we hope to establish the next steps in the journey.

Following the Initial Consultation, further assessment and therapy session/s will be booked as deemed appropriate.  At Chat. we believe that in order to tailor our therapy appropriately a thorough understanding of the child's strengths and difficulties is necessary.  We can do this dynamically throughout the therapy sessions, by completing informal assessments and by completing formal assessments.  Each child's journey will be different and unique.  

We provide a short summary report following Initial Consultations unless further assessment is required. If formal standardised assessments have been completed a more comprehensive report will be provided.  This more detailed report is suitable for NDIS review reports and will be compiled at the completion of all the appropriate and necessary assessments.
